Maddie Netter, a Leasing Representative at Peterson Companies, walks our Co-Founder through how she uses Resquared in her canvassing workflow.
Local leasing. We are no strangers to the amount of time, sweat, and frustration it takes to find the right tenants for your shopping centers. At the hyper-local level, it can be difficult to source the right contact, and even when you do, it can be even harder to get in contact with them.
That’s why we integrated Resquared with Yelp, Google, and Facebook to give the platform the most robust backing of data possible. We’ve been having conversations with some of our amazing clients in the industry to speak about how Resquared has solved their biggest canvassing pain points.
Follow along below as Maddie Netter, a Leasing Representative at Peterson Companies, walks our Co-Founder, Tyler Carlson, through how she uses Resquared in her workflow:
Q: Tell me a little bit about the prospecting process pre-Resquared and some of the pain points your teams faced.
“Prior to Resquared, a typical day canvassing involved getting in my car and driving around to shopping centers to get an idea of what the competition is and writing the names down and looking them up manually when I was back at the office to see if they would be a good fit for moving over to one of my centers. And in a good week, I could probably reach 10-15 businesses.”
Maddie continued to elaborate on her biggest pain point: local canvassing:
“Canvassing is the most overwhelming part of my job because much of the time when you’re driving around, you don’t know where to start.”
"Once you have a custom list of retailers ready, you can create an email and send out as many as 25 emails in 5 minutes. It’s really as easy as that.”
Q: As someone in the local leasing space, what are the most helpful features of Resquared for you?
“One of my favorite things about Resquared is the lists functionality, which keeps track of the businesses I have reached out to and ensures I am not double emailing tenants.”
“I also love how the platform had really been able to get Peterson Companies’ name out there and I seriously would have never been able to reach this many people without it – I think I am reaching 50 people a day.”
“I’ve found that this has opened us up to people we usually wouldn’t even think of.”
Tyler explains more on the lists feature below:
After completing a search on the platform, you are able to select any businesses you’re interested in and add them to a new list, which you can name anything you’d like to stay organized. Once you’re viewing your newly created list of potential leads, you see the dashboard below.
From this view, you not only have the ability to see details about the potential leads, but you are able to send them personalized messages that can go directly to their Facebook messenger or email.
You can also easily keep track of who you reached to and can even export the list to excel so you can sync up with your CRM.
One more great feature here to call out is the RE2 Score, which rates on a scale of 1-100 (100 being best) how popular a business is based on the number of Yelp reviews a business has, and the quality of those reviews.
PRO TIP: Rank your list by the highest to lowest RE2 score by clicking on RE2 in the top bar.
We hope this quick look into Maddie’s experience with Resquared gives you some insight into how the tool could help make the canvassing process easier for you.
